A hotelier who built his own software

Sam runs the Hôtel du Village, 29 rooms in Alsace. Like many independent hoteliers, he spent years using management software built for other markets, with screens that did not match the way he worked.

Rather than switch software, he built his own: Sonnette. A year of work, grounded in what a hotel actually does every day, screen after screen, until the tool could carry the load of a real property.

Since 14 September 2026, Sonnette has run the entirety of the Hôtel du Village's bookings, housekeeping, invoicing and till. It is not a sales mockup: it is the daily working tool of a hotel that welcomes guests every night.

Sonnette is now opening up to other independent hotels living the same thing: tools that are expensive, rigid, or built for chains. The goal stays simple — complete software, honest about its price, built by someone who uses it himself.
